Roger Moore was my childhood Bond. I remember going to the cinema to see him play 007 a good four or five times as a kid. I recollect going to see Octopussy in particular really vividly. It might seem a bit hackneyed now and dated when put up against one of Daniel Craig's gritty 21st century Bond films, but I absolutely loved it. I'll be honest, plonk me down on a sofa, with a full belly and nothing to do and I'd happily sit through any of Roger Moore's 007 films. I find them constantly entertaining to this day and Live and Let Die is still in my top 5 Bond films (as is 'The Spy Who Loved Me'). With this portrait I wanted to keep it classic - and my key to getting Roger's gently leathery complexion just right was the use of some peach coloured card.
